Profits from the sale of Guppyfriend go directly to STOP Microwaste and the STOP Plastic Academy to raise awareness about (micro) plastic pollution and to educate children, adults and industry partners about the plastic problem.

With great educating programs including our favourite: 'Ocean College' which operates a research sailboat to train young adults to become STOP! Plastic Coaches. On a six-month journey they will learn everything about microplastic pollution first-hand, do beach cleanups and create their own Stop! Stations.

Guppyfriend was founded by a group of surfers out to tackle the plastic problem in our waters.

With almost a third of ocean plastic having originated from our clothes they realised the impact they could have by preventing this plastic from being released in the first place.

With every wash, countless plastic fibres from synthetic textiles are making their way from washing machines into rivers and oceans. Guppy Friend stops that by catching the mircofibers before they go into the water.

Guppy Friend Washing Bag is the first scientifically approved solution to prevent microfibers from entering into rivers and oceans. The Guppy Friend washing bag also protects your laundry as it washes, extending the life of your garments.

The Guppy Friend Washing bag is made of a polyamide fabric, which is technically a plastic fabric. However it is woven specifically for the Guppyfriend and is made NOT to release any fibers into the water system. Using this fabric means it is built to last.
